Unicorn Tattoos make for happy little girls!

Hi! Bev here with a tutorial on making these fun temporary tattoos!  My daughter is Unicorn and Pegasus obsessed so she jumped at the chance of helping me pick images for the tattoos I was making for her.

What you will need:
  • Silhouette Cameo/Portrait
  • Silhouette Printable Tattoo Paper
  • Printer and Ink
  • Wet paper towel for application
Step One:

The tattoo paper is letter sized so choose letter on the design page settings.  Select registration marks and ensure that print and cut borders are showing on the page.

Choose your designs and resize them as required.

Choose colours for your designs and make sure that the line colour and fill colours match up.

I added text to the images and filled them in black. Group the image and words together and select 'no cut' from the cut settings.

Step Two:

Using the offset feature, select an image and offset around it.  This will be the line that is cut.

You will notice that the I heart Pegasus has an offset which is a lighter colour.  I fixed this quite simply by reclicking onto it 'cut edge'.  Change the offset line colour to clear as you don't want these lines to be visable once the sheet is printed. It is also very important to flip the designs horizontally as you will need them to be mirrored when they are printed out.
Print the page off by feeding the paper into the printer so it prints onto the plain size.

Step Three:

There are two clear shiny sheets provided in the pack and you will need to peel the backing paper off of one of these and stick it down onto the printed sheet.  There is a strip that is already scored ready to assist in this.  Smooth it down to ensure there are no air bubbles.  Once placed, take a plastic card or smoothing tool and smooth over the entire sheet.

Unfortunately for some reason or another, my registration marks would not register!! we have all been there and after 30 minutes of trying and trying again, I decided for the purposes of time and not wasting the printed sheet to cut them by hand this time.

Step Four:

Once cut, peel off the clear sheet and apply face down onto the skin.  Hold a wet cloth or paper towel over the top.  Peel off the white card and your design will adhere to the skin and you are done! Temporary tattoos created in your own designs.

I have enjoyed sharing with you, and can't wait to see what you create!
